Saddler and Midas are owned and loved by the Pincas family of Houston, TX. Alex and Aixa actually adopted the younger Midas before taking home older sister Saddler about six months later. Together, these lucky Whippets live with Greyhound Nina and one large cat named Mico.
In 2003, Saddler began her show career with Karen Planchak of Lanaken Whippets. She returned to IMa at just under a year old and in addition to showing, began lure coursing. Oddly enough, Saddler has no Best in Field wins or perpetual trophy honors though she is one of the nicest and most consistent runners representing our kennel name. She completed her ASFA Field Championship in only three trials, winning full stakes at each event and going undefeated to her first title. She went on to complete her Lure Courser of Merit title (LCM) before an injury ended her running career.
Saddler obtained all but one major for her AKC bench title. She has innumerable reserve wins and after two years of chasing too-few opportunities, we decided other things in life were more important than the CH prefix.
Brother Midas is a handsome crème boy with lovely conformation and a superb temperament. Born a monorchid, he has never seen the show ring but found instead an incredible family that keeps his schedule busy with dog park visits, frisbee catching sessions, neighor-play dates and more.
We are so happy that Saddler and Midas can be together and that this big sister-little brother duo have each other and their Houston family.
