Hush Hush was first named Secret, an obvious choice given her
registered name. By powers beyond consciousness, her
handle evolved into Hush Hush though she is no barker, whiner or
howler. She was a gift from Denise Tatro to my mom, Susan,
and was born just twelve days before my daughter. Hushie
has found her way into the fold at IMa, working hard as a lure
courser from 2003-2006. In October 2006, she suffered a
career ending injury to her rear-left leg in an on-field lure
coursing collision. Her lateral co-lateral ligament was
ripped free from the bone, but a surgical repair and
rehabilitation have allowed her the free use to walk, trot and
even run about the back yard. We are glad for a good
recovery and Hushie still works hard as babysitter to younger
Whippets and loyal companion to my mother.
